Symphonic tone poem in 3 movements

Ros Beyaerd is the invincible horse, known in many of medieval legends across western Europe. Beyaerd is the symbol of the city of Dendermonde, Belgium and is thus renowned by Unisco as world heritage.

Reynout, his master fights a rebellion along with his 3 brothers against their uncle: king Charles the Great. The composer describes these heroic fights, the loyalty between man and horse, and finally the trial and execution of that mighty beast.
